MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST
In the eye of Guitare en Scène
Because five decades spent writing very beautiful pages of hard-rock history is something to be highly celebrated, Michael Schenker thought it would be nice to gather a few of his good friends to write a new chapter to his wild metallic odyssey. Therefore, here he opens again the gates of his temple of rock for a feist in which melt classic hard-rock, heavy speed, rock FM, groove bluesy and atmospheric tempos...
BIOGRAPHIE
A beautiful stunning page has just been turned and, right away, with no time to breathe, an even more promising, more peculiar new chapter starts. After fifteen years spent playing on stages all over the world, you could imagine that a legitimate resting desire could have risen inside the one who, from Scorpions to MSG and UFO, has given thrills to more than one V guitar and one generation. Except that, when you have hard rock music screwed to the bones, as it is Michael Schenker's case, you can never find any rest and you keep following your unstoppable lust for the flames you're able to light in the eyes of your fans, astonishing them again and again, overwhelming them with enfuriating solos, inviting them to enter the church of rock music and commune with your magical riffs, explosive rhythms and impressive vocal flights.
And for that chapter to be even more magnificent, for that celebration to be even crazier, take a few friends, as Michael Schenker did on « Resurrection », his new album with such a symbolic name, among which four singers - Robin McAuley (with whom he founded MSG), Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Doogie White – who have participated throughout the decades to his different projects, and invite them to join. Add a few faithful to heavy melodies musicians, Kirk Hammet (Metallica) as distinguished guest, and everything is in place to open the door of the temple of rock and begin the feist, a banquet in which classic hard-rock, heavy speed, FM rock, bluesy groove and space music entwine to provide an Everest musical delight. All this gave matter to that german guitar-hero to go back on the road with most of his metal warriors and take over again the hearts of all six-cords lovers. It was then quite logical for him to make a stop at Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and share his resurrection with Guitare en Scène passionate audience.
