Lingus is a hybrid rock trio from Lyon, France, with a mix of influences ranging from syrupy pop to stubborn rock riffs and a variety of Western-Oriental and multi-coloured sounds. After two EPs (2016, 2018) received with (relatively) general indifference, the band has finally decided to break through: witness the release of their first album, RECONNAISSANCE, on 12 October 2022. A masterful work (in all objectivity) that will win over even the grumpiest of music lovers. Loosely inspired by the work of German philosopher Axel Honneth, the album's central theme is the theory of recognition. And that's all there is to it.
